being quiet in the world of loudmouths

it is amazing how much premium our society puts on being a chatterbox, having a good character is not good enough any more, you need to display it . being skilled is not that important, displaying it has more value in terms of societies rules and god forbidden if you are one of those types who thinks before speaking and feels better to say nothing than gibberish, you might be considered as antisocial.

it seems to me the dominating part of our society lives on surface with no depth or centre and promotes impostors. presentation skills trumps true leadership, fitting in is more important than authenticity, solitude considered as a disease. and working in team and groups is a social norms.

but how could an artist works in a group, how would a man of character would ever display it. how would a reward oriented perspective would ever bring genuine peace or happiness.

I’ve been in places when i wish i could be a loudmouth and failing to understand there are always 2 sides of any trait. loudmouths comes with shallow inner life. although occasionally behaving out of my skin by making a free trait agreement with myself seems to stimulate energy but knowing when to come back in my skin is very crucial. a phrase that captures it perfectly.

i seems to love parties but when it gets louder and louder, I get quieter and quieter.

quiet and thoughtful peoples are natural leaders not impostors, true artist with genuine taste, their inner life seems so rich, they don’t tempt for rewards like money and status. they are looking for meaning and purpose in their work while others are happy with social praise. they persist while other give up because they are not doing it for reward, even though society may think whatever they want, I feel blessed to be the quieter one.
