Chapter #4 the key blocks of our life.

Our mind is constantly spinning the thoughts after thoughts. These thoguths are being generated by all the knowledge and information we have collected from all the places. These information is like food for our mind and our understanding is our digestive power. There is a lot of leftover from our past that we couldn’t digest because our understanding wasn’t mature.

All these thoughts, hopes, worries and desires can be categorised in four fundamental categories. Having a clear understanding of what is important in each area is crucial to live a good and intentional life.

1. Self mastery - once we have some degree of understanding of what we really are and how our minds work. Some things becomes very clear. There are certain aspects of our mind that can never be satisfied no matter how we arrange object outside. And they are consistently generating a lot of dissatisfaction. Self-judgment, ego, lust… we can never satisfy them but certainly master them. We have clear understanding of what works and what not and are in much more control of our life. Without self understanding and mastery we end up searching for happiness by hit and trial.

Relationships - by the virtue of receprocity, interacting with another person can infuse different emotional state inside us. Even on the screen, if you see a person facing intense obstacle and not giving up, that makes me feel inspired. The same way we experince different emotions love, sadness, frustration… Knowing what different emotion means, their nature and how much emotional need we have gives us profound foundation to built our relationship on.

work - willingly or unwillingly, for survival or for meaning, all of us have to contribute in some way. Although, We have a choice, who we want to serve and how. Our work can be a source of fulfilment or frustration and depends on how we select it, when it is aligned with what is meaningful to us, our strengths, interest and values, at the same time serving someone’s deep need. It becomes source of inspiration and happiness, when we are mindlessly working on something with no interest or meaning, just for the financial reason. It inavitably breed frustration.

health - the importance of having a good health is no brainier. But we often overlook how important it really is and what it means to have a good health. Understanding the needs of our body and treating it with respect. result into the vitality, energy and strengths. On the other hand nothing pulls our attention like a sick body.

When one of the key area in our life is out of balance, it starts to pull our attention. And generate dissatisfaction. We can never really solve the problem of relationship with working more.

Our goal with this book is to have a clear written manifesto of what is important to us in each key area of our life. And a practical plan to move
