Learning of the day #25. Satyananda case.
I enjoyed book written by him, deep understanding and clear explanation. Now I was thinking to purchase his book on systematic courses on yoga. And as I was buying, I saw an opinion of he accused as rape with a child.
This created a strong and quick repulsive impulse. And then I look into it.
You can not avoid listening to other people to be in a bubble of the impression. You need to listen to both side if the case is strong.
In his case, the govt. of Australia testified many girls against akhandaya guy. Then there are some bloodish accusation about Satyananda.
Now the purpose of me is to gain better understanding of path of yoga from someone who followed it. Satyananda followed in the path in terms of yoga and Tantra. His explanation or understanding of that subject is incredible and clear.
It is very possible that his disciple is accused of charges maybe really guilty. But that poses no impact on his books.
The charge posed on him is actually something like I have a memory of being cut my breast and being abused as a child and another one related to being told to provide girls for him. It might be possible that they are lying or He might be following some kind of sexual tantric ritual. I don’t really know what is the path of Tantra.
So the face is would you take information from someone who’s disciple may very well be a sexual abuser of child’s and all. Maybe he is not. The information is that there are some case in Australian govt, and I read this on a website. And maybe he has allowed and included in some kind rituals where he performed some sexual activities with childs. This claim could also be nonsense.
Based on reading his work, his understanding and clarity seems very strong and clear. And brings the perspective of Tantra related subject in sprituality.
giving the fact I should consider him someone to read. And understand his point of view on different subjects. Although I might not want to consider something like Tantra as a viable path to self realization.
